Modern Institute for Education (MIE) has a Training and Upskilling Unit that provides a Comprehensive Training Capsule which does not end with giving a one-time workshop to the teachers on the given theme. It works along the lines of assessing teachers’ needs first and accordingly customizing the training program as per the requirements arising from the responses received. The training is followed by mentoring of the participants.
For mentoring, fortnightly online meetings and discussions are held and peer learning community is built to share and discuss classroom practices and their implications. The participants submit an assignment of their learnings and attend a session to share their experiences and takeaways, and also to get new ideas to execute them in the classroom situations. MIE issues the certificate at the end of the entire capsule.
MIE has developed several upskilling programs to equip facilitators with innovative pedagogical strategies that promote active and holistic learning experiences for students in alignment with NEP 2020 and NCF 2023. An overview of all the programs is depicted below
