Ambika did her schooling from the Modern School Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, followed by an Honors degree in English Literature from The Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University in 1991. She thereafter pursued post graduate studies in Spain from the Complutense University in Madrid.

She is presently serving as the Honorary Secretary of the Modern School Society. In addition to running 3 renowned schools located at New Delhi’s Barakhamba Road, Humayun Road and Vasant Vihar, Modern School has expanded its footprint in the Delhi NCR region by establishing schools in Kundli and Faridabad.

Ambika is also a founder-member of the Delhi Chapter of St. Jude Childcare Centres which take care of underprivileged children suffering from cancer.

Ambika initiated the SPORTABILITY programme in Modern School in 2022 which provides platform and advocacy in sports for persons with disabilities. She also established the ASEEM centre for life skills and vocational training for adults with disabilities.

Ambika is leading Modern School's initiative “Modern Institute for Education” which provides capacity building training & action research for future ready teachers in both private and government schools. She conceptualized the Yamuna River Project- YaRI, an inter- disciplinary river curriculum for school students. She is dedicated to working on the social cause to raise awareness among children of their rights to ‘Clean Water and Clean River.

Dr. Anviti Singh is an experienced professional having worked extensively in the fields of Teacher Education and Language Education. She started her career as a school teacher in Kolkata, worked briefly as a lecturer at Kendriya Hindi Sansthan Agra, and then joined Central Institute of Education, University of Delhi to pursue research. Holding a PhD in Special Education, her research interests include Specific Learning, Disabilities, Multilingualism, and Teacher Education, Foundational Literacy among others.

After completing research, she joined non-government organisations and worked mainly in the fields of Teacher Training, Curriculum Development, and Foundational Language and Literacy. Over the years, she has made significant contributions to enhancing educational practices, particularly for marginalised sections of society. She has worked with several renowned national and international organisations where she assisted in implementing key language and literacy initiatives. She played a crucial role in advocating for developing reading habits among early graders.

In addition, she has also contributed to projects funded by international development agencies such as USAID focused on achieving Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) outcomes. With a strong foundation in academic research and experience working in government as well as non-government organisations, she helps minimising the gap between educational theory and practice.

Dr. Feroz Khan is a Gold Medalist in M.A. from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). He did his PhD in Interdisciplinary and Trans-disciplinary Studies from IGNOU on 'Employment and Labour Issues' in the Organised Retail Sector. Presently, he is a Research Associate at the Modern Institute for Education (MIE). Dr. Khan has worked as a Research Associate with V. V. Giri National Labour Institute, Noida on different labour issues like 'Workers in Small Scale Industries' and 'Child Labour.' He has also worked as a Research Officer with the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi. He is a member of The Global Research Forum on Diaspora and Transnationalism (GRFDT), an Academic and Policy think tank based in New Delhi.

Mr. Ashok Kumar Yadav, MCA, BCA, is a tech-savvy professional, working as a Coordinating Officer with the Modern Institute for Education (MIE) since its inception.

He is a Diploma holder in Information Security (ethical hacking) and Hardware and Networking from the Delhi Institute of Computer Science (DICS), Pusa Road, New Delhi, and certificates in accounts and office assistance.

Apart from his current role at MIE, Mr. Yadav also continues to assist the Office of Board of Trustees, Modern Schools on the administrative and operational tasks. His work as Personal Assistant to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Board of Trustees, Modern School for more than 9 years, has made him a seasoned administrative and management professional in the field of Office management from almost every aspect from infrastructure to personnel. In his leisure time, he loves to read books and play chess.
